Upgrading to XP/compatibility problems

I am upgrading to XP from ME. While running the advisor,
it has listed several software items that are not
compatible with XP. Most importantly, IntelliType Pro
1.x, MouseWare, Disc Detector, Java Plug-in 1.3.1, MPEG
Layer-3 Config. Advisor is saying to delete IntelliType
and MouseWare and update the rest. But if I delete these
items, am I going to be able to use my mouse or keyboard
to navigate while updating to XP? I am not sure if I
should just run the upgrade and fix things later or take
care of them now as the advisor suggests. PLEASE HELP!!!
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Yes, you will still be able to use them, the system will just use a basic
driver set during the installation. You can install updated driver sets
afterwards to return to full functionality.
