Does anybody know if you can install the Microsoft Vista Home Premium UPGRADE
over OEM Media Center OS?

A note I just got...............

Just in case any of you were considering going out and purchasing
a copy of the new Windows Vista operating system, I was informed
about a half hour ago that this may not be a good idea and is not
recommended by those in the know, whomever they are.

I am told that there are already a couple of very serious flaws in
the system. One manifests itself during the loading of Vista on
the form of a blue screen that may appear and not go away for up
to an hour. I was also told that if this happens you should NOT
turn off your PC as there is actually a process going on during
this time and that if you interrupt it, it may cause irreversible
damage to the OS.

Maybe people could just follow the norm of not installing an OS unless
they NEED it (read that as REQUIRE) until 6 months after it's released or
the first service pack is released.

Whenever *anything* new comes out, you always find naysayers and you always
find partisans for it. ALmost always the naysayers are the more vocal by
far.

I'll relate my own personal experience with Vista. I've been running the RTM
version of Vista Ultimate for 2.5 months now, and I've had no problems at
all with it. I don't claim that everyone should rush out to upgrade to it,
but I don't see any reason to fear having it, either.
