Hello,
I'm running XP which has Windows Messenger 4.7
preinstalled. I've downloaded MSN Messenger 6 as an
upgrade but it installs it separately instead of
upgrading 4.7 and I end up with both which I don't want.
Even if I have 4.7 switched off I keep getting logged out
of 6.0 cos it says I've logged on at another location
which I assume is a result of them both being installed.
Is there anyway to reinstall 6.o so that it goes in as an
upgrade to 4.7?
I've not been offered the chance to upgrade 4.7 through
it's own window. This is something that has normally
happened with messenger. Is it cos one is Windows
Messenger and one is MSN?
I hope someone can help. I know it's not a serious
problem but it is annoying.
Thanks

Thanks, Sandie. I've just reinstalled and hopefully
rebooting will do the trick. It didn't before but maybe
this time will be different. Sometimes computers can be
amazingly illogical!
