Upgrading ME to XP

Windows ME crashed for the last time and finally decided
to simply upgrade to XP instead of working with it
anymore. For some reason I couldn't boot off ME from
disk, so I was stuck simply installing XP from it's boot
(couldn't access computer otherwise). XP says that if it
installs over old windows, it may delete some things,
which it explicitly stated it might delete 'my
documents'. I have alot of stuff I need in there, so I
just told it not to overwrite ME, but to just install
new. Now the problem is how do I migrate my ME stuff
over to XP? I can't just run shortcuts to the old
programs, it tells me they're all corrupt.

Thanks,
John Graham

You don't.

You re-install all of your apps.
