Upgrading hardware

I am planing a major upgrade of one of my computers, involving at least a
new motherboard and hard disk. My question is if I can legally install
Windows XP from the same (full version) I purchased from the previous
machine, which will now cease to exist.
I appologize if this question has been answerd many times before.

How do I "deactivate", move to another computer, or sell a previously activated XP?

Greetings --

Assuming a retail license (OEM licenses are not transferable),
simply remove WinXP from the computer it is currently on, and install
it onto the new one. If it's been more than 120 days since you last
activated that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able to
activate via the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you
might have to make a 5 minute phone call.
