Hi,

I have a client who wants to upgrade his systems from
Microsoft Windows XP Home to Windows XP Professional in
order to take advantage of the offline files
sychronization features. Can you please refer me (as I
have not uncovered anything on the subject) to what I
might face performing this upgrade for him. Or, is there
even a problem doing it? Please advise, ASAP, as, of
course, he wants it done today!!! Please either email or
call me on my cell. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi

There shouldn't be any problems with the upgrade, but it is advisable to backup any vital data files prior to the upgrade.

Watch Out ! I did exactly this and found that XP pro
removed my dial up connection and will not let me
reestablish it. I tried everything from the service packs
to new drivers. The modem is recognized but it wants to
force me to a braodband connection. This is not an option
for this PC.
