I currently have a machine with a 1.5 Ghz pentium 4
running Windows98 SE. I'm thinking of upgrading to
Windows XP home edition. What I would like to do is add
a second hard drive and load XP on it while maintaining
Windows 98 on the first drive. I want to make the system
dual boot between the 2 OS's.

Will the Windows XP home upgrade edition (cheaper) allow
me to do this or must I buy the full edition?

Thanks.

Yes, you can do this with Home Edition. When you install it, it will detect
98 on your first hard drive and set up a boot menu for you.

Legally, in order to use BOTH 98SE and XP Home, you would have to buy the
full version, due to the fact that you would still be using 98SE.
