When attempting to upgrade windows 2000 to windows xp we
are receiving an error message. The message is 'you must
be an administrator to run this application. I went to
the microsoft web site and looked up the message. It said
to make sure the user has the necessary rights, which it
does. So, this must not be the issue. Any ideas on how to
reslove this problem?
Thanks,
Toni

When do you receive the error message and what is the full error text? What
user are you logging in as? Check your setuperr.log and the end of
setupapi.log and see if you have permissions errors being logged there and
post those results.

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you but, I
did not see any permisson errors in the logs you
mentioned. Any other thoughts would be great. Have you
heard of upgrading from 2000 to xp to be a problem?
Thanks,
Toni
