I have a full version of XP Pro. Can I use it to upgrade from W2K Pro or do
I have to do a clean install?

Thanks!

Hi,

As long as it is a retail version and not an OEM full version it will do the
upgrade. The OEM version will not.

Yes, you can do an upgrade.

However, be sure it's really a Full version and not an OEM
version, which many people confuse with the Full version. An OEM
version will not do upgrades, only clean installations.

If it is a proper Retail version, then yes. But not is it is one of the
'OEM' ones, sold with a bit of hardware, and probably marked 'for
supply only with a new computer' or similar wording: those will only
install clean
