Upgrading from Home to Pro - AGP filter error

Any thoughts?
XP Pro upgrade will not install over XP Home. A system
compatibility issue pops up stating that NVIDIA AGP
filter is not right. The NVIDIA nforce driver needs to
be updated. I download the new driver from the nvidia
web site and install it. Then I start the XP pro upgrade
and get the same error.
When I reboot after doing the NVIDIA driver install an
error pops up when XP home is trying to shut down. The
DDDCMan.exe program doesn't shut down cleanly.
I'd like to get XP Pro installed but am unable. Any
thoughts would be appreciated.

Instead of using the Nvidia drivers, just use the basic VGA drivers. Or try
older versions of the Nvidia drivers instead of the newest.
