Coiuld you please tell me what are the steps to upgrade my display driver?

I have downloaded the.zip file and now I am not too sure as to what to do.

Shoul I uninstall the previous one? How and where? And am I bound to lose
control of the computer in between uninstallin annd installing?

Please help, as I am afraid of doing something very stupid.

Do the following ..
1. Extract all the driver files to a folder, say Drivers.
2. Then go to control panel --> click on "System"
3. In the displayed properties box, click on the tab, "Hardware".
4. Then click on "Device Manager"
5. You will get a list of hardware devices installed in your system. Expand
the section under, "Display Adapters".
6. You can see the graphics adapter name, (Example: Intel Corporation 810
Graphics Controller Hub)
7. Right Click on it, select, "Properties"
8. In the displayed properties box, select the tab, "Driver"
9. Now click on "Update Driver"
10. In the Update wizard that comes up, select as indicated
NEXT --> search for a suitable driver for my device --> specify a
location (and deselct all others).
11. In the box that appears, select the folder, where you have extracted the
drivers.

This should update the drivers automatically. If the drivers are outdated,
the wizard gives out appropriate messages ..

Hope this help

Did you look at the files in the .zip file? Usually there are step-by-step
instructions. Also, if there is an .exe file, you can probably simply
double-click it and the program will walk you through the update. Otherwise,
unzip the files to your hard drive, right mouse-click "My Computer", click
Properties, Hardware tab, Device Manager. In the list that pops up, expand
Display Adapters and double-click on the item in there (your adapter). Go to
the Driver tab and click on Update driver. Choose to install from a list or
specified location, then browse to where you just unzipped the .zip file.
This should do it without losing control, but sometimes in these updates, the
screen will flicker or black out momentarily, which is normal. Hope this
helps!
