I'm upgrading my mother board and processor on my
computer. I have an OEM Windows ME disk which I upgraded
to XP Pro. Will I still be able to load XP onto my
upgraded computer?

Chris;
What kind of OEM Windows XP?
Came with the computer? Bought separately with a piece of hardware?

Is Windows XP upgrade or full version?

If OEM Windows ME came with the computer?
You may not be able to install OEM Windows XP with the new
motherboard.
You also are not likely to be able to use the OEM Windows ME as
qualifying media for Windows XP Upgrade.

OEM Windows is normally permanently tied to the first computer
regardless the condition of the original computer.
It can be a gray area when several pieces of hardware are replaced.

If OEM Windows ME did not come with the computer, you should be OK and
have no trouble installing.
As long as Windows XP is retail, you also should no problems.

Chris;
In that case, unless the motherboard is from your computer
manufacturer, it may not work.
Most OEM Windows sold with computers are locked to the BIOS of that
computer and a motherboard by another manufacturer will not work.

Most OEM Windows CDs have an image and do not have the necessary files
to qualify for upgrade.

So, you will not be able to load Windows ME or use the ME CD for
qualifying media.
Therefore you will not be able to use the Windows XP Upgrade CD to
install Windows XP.
