I recently upgraded to XP and lost all my contacts as well
as all of my email addresses in my address book when I go
to outbox to send an email. Can these be resurrected?
.
Yes! The easiest way to import your messages, contacts,
etc. for Outlook is to first search for your .pst file and
then import it using the Import Wizard. When you search
for your .pst file, be sure and check the box to search
hidden folders under advanced options. Once you have the
full path to your .pst file, then follow these steps. The
file by default is named outlook.pst but you can search
for just .pst to show all .pst files.
On the File menu, click Import And Export. From the list
of options, click Import from another program or file, and
then click Next. In Import A File, click Personal Folder
File(.pst), and then click Next. In File To Import, type
the full path and file name of the personal folders (.pst)
file to be imported, and then click Next. Click to select
the folder to be imported from Select the folder to import
from list, and then specify the destination for the
folder.
