Hi there,
I have just helped my dad to do an upgrade from WIN98SE to XP Prof. All
works well, except for the fact that he can not find drivers for his ISDN
modem. It's a "ISDN NDIS WAN" USB modem. Die software that comes with it,
only has drivers for 98 and 2000.
I have done a search on google but was unsuccessful in finfding something
for XP.

I will really appreciate ANY help.

Regards
Deon

Have you tried the 2000 drivers. Sometime they work in XP. If not you may
be a casualty of not checking hardware to make sure you had an XP driver
prior to installing.

1) Try the Win2k drivers, they may well work.
2) Contact the manufacturer of the device and ask for winXP drivers.
3) Dump the thing and fit an internal ISDN TA PCI card with XP drivers
(or better yet, and ISDN LAN attached router/switch, which doesn't
actually need any .. although that's probably expensive in your part of
the world).

Thanx for the reply.
The 2k drivers didn't work. Option 3 is to the expensive side.
Our currency's exchange rate to the US$ today, as in 29 July, is the best
in 3 months. $1 only cost R7,24 - South African Rands.

My dad has bought a new modem which has XP drivers. 800 bucks.

Thanx again!

I sympathise (and I hope a buck means a Rand, not a US$). I'm not a fan
of USB modems - the drivers seem to cause more trouble than anything
else in the whole XP line up, and the pings are rotten (but then, he's
probably not gaming with it. 8>.)
