I upgraded to OUtlook 2007 from Outlook 2003 and everything seemed to be
working fine. I realized that I do not have any of my contact
informationanymore and lost all of my old e-mails. Can I get them back?
How? System restore? Are they somewhere in an archied folder? Help?

Upgrade installations of Office are a very bad idea. It is far better to
install Office clean. Outlook does not survive an upgrade installation
because your Outlook profile becomes corrupt.
Create a new Outlook profile from scratch and configure it to use your
previous Outlook Data File. I'll assume you keep track of your Outlook data
file and back it up regularly, especially before you try something risky
like an upgrade installation. We post the methods on how to migrate your
Outlook data correctly on a daily basis in here:
The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm
http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm

System restore doesnt work on data
What is the path & File Name shown, when you select Properties of Personal
Folders?
Take a note of that path / file name
If its Outlook1.pst
Then within OL, File>Open>Data File...........browse to that path & open the
other outlook data file, outlook.pst

This assumes your outlook data files are in the default location, otherwise
search, to include hidden, for *.pst

I found 2 .pst file locations, one is OUtlook and the other is Outlook
Archive, how do I get these back into outlook 2007. Pretend I dion't know
anything about computers please, I do but not enough obviously if I am in
this boat.

Ah well, if you only have an outlook.pst, you did check the path shown in
properties, and it points to this pst?
If you check the View settings in OL, does that help, ie perhaps you are
viewing last 7 days or similar
(The archive pst is your archive file, ensure you have looked down the
folder tree in OL, that its not allready attached)
