Hello

......HELP!

I upgraded a friend's computer from Windows ME to Windows XP Home using a brand new software package. 83 minutes later the upgrade worked and everything seemed fine.

Later she discovered some programs were non-funtioning or had changed. This was forewarned by the install process itself--not a worry. More importantly, Outlook Express had changed. Her email address book migrated to the new version of Outlook Express that gets installed, but all the emails---hundreds of them---did NOT migrate also. All her original OE folders and their contents appear to be gone. She was required to make all new email settings and folders before she could use Outlook Express. There appears to be no sign of anything on the computer, and I searched high and low. I don't know how to fix it. Certainly all these files are still on the hard drive

I always thougth that upgrading an OS did not overwrite data files....such as documents, and emails....just the relevant OS files. Where did her email folders, emails and the associated email attachments all go??? How do I get them back into OE where they belong

Thank you kindly for your assistance!
