We currently have Windows 2000 running in our company and are making the
jump to Windows XP (Please DO NOT ask why because I won't be able to give
you a good answer and I am sick of the question). What I would like
answers/input on is doing an upgrade vs doing a rebuild. We have tested
both on a number of machines, with minimal issues. Neither seems to be
better then the other but, we have all been around long enough to know that
doing a rebuild is the best choice, but in a lot of cases we don't have the
time.

What do you all think?

Thanks

I agree rebuild is best, but our tests from 2000 to XP
have been without a hitch.

If there are problems with any particular machine before
an upgrade, though, expecting an upgrade to magically fix
things would be bad strategy. It can really screw things
up worse.

Upgrading from 2000 to XP SEEMS to be the most trouble-
free upgrade EVER!

For a better result when posting the same question to multiple newsgroups,
post to all the groups at the same time by posting the address separated by
a "comma" (,) and example would be:
microsoft.public.windowsxp.setup_deployment,
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general,
microsoft.public.windowsxp.setup_deployment

Posting in this manner will result in replies to the question from any of
the newsgroups being displayed in all groups included in the original post.
You should limit your cross-post to 3 newsgroups relative to the subject.

You currently have answers to your question several of the newsgroups you
posted, so check all the newsgroups before posting the same question again.
