upgrade to vista premiun

my pc has only 512ram ,not enough for vista pre.I only have two memory slots
an both are used.How can i get more memory,or is 512 ram all it will hold.To
run vista premiun would i have to buy another pc or is there another way to
get more ram .

The only way to find this out is to consult the manual for the motherboard.
You can open the case and read the maker and model number from the board,
then go to the manufacturer's site and get the manual.

If your system will actually hold more memory, you will have to remove the
existing RAM and replace it with larger units.

But there's a lot more to upgrading than this, for example video
capabilities. You may also find you need to upgrade the video card.

At that point, it definitely becomes worth your while to investigate the
replacing the machine, which will give you Vista itself and a system capable
of running it.

That depends on your motherboard, and what capacity RAM sticks it will
accept. We can't tell from here. Check your documentation or with your
manufacturer (or on their web site). You presently have two 256MB
sticks, and perhaps you can replace them with 512MB or 1GB sticks.
