Since upgrading to Windows XP service pack 2, when using my email Outlook
program (version 2002) I can no longer add background sound to mail..
i.e mid. file attachement.
Mail is in HTML format and has always worked in the past "inser sound clip"
etc.
When I remove the service pack 2...it all goes back to normal.

Can anyone please assist ?? Appreciated.

This is a known issue introduced by SP2 for Windows XP in all versions of
Word/Outlook. There is no fix for the time being other than temporarily
using Outlook Express to send stationery.

Thanks.
Are you aware if a resolution to this known problem is in the works?
You mentioned Outlook Express? Can you elaborate?

Thanks Neo.
Cheers!

Outlook Express uses a different method to attach sound files. Therefore if
you really need to send mail that is stationery/includes sound, your best
using OE for the time being.

I'm not sure if something is in the works or not. Just know that Microsoft
is aware of this and about a handful of other issues that range from
anoyance to the product is completely unusable as a mail client.
