Could someone please tell me where I can look to find information regarding
how much upgrading I can do with my current motherboard?

My cpu is a P4 2.4 mhz and the following is my current info. on my
motherboard:

Manufacturer : Intel Corporation
MP Support : No
Model : D850EMV2
Version : AAA87951-500
Serial Number : IUMV22306572

If you want to upgrade just the CPU you can look for any P4 that runs on a
533Mhz FSB (front side bus).

Your motherboard does not support the newest P4 range which run on an 800Mhz
FSB. So if you want the latest and greatest, you would also need to change
out the motherboard.

what you can do to upgrade/improve your system. One is Everest Home

Best place to look is in the user manual that comes with the motherboard. It has the full specifications.

If you've lost or never received it then look to the Intel Web site for their downloads.
