Upgrade Advisor

I am checking my PCs for XP compatibility, so have
downloaded Upgrade Advisor.

It worked fine on my Win98 desktop, but whenever I try and
run it on my WinMe laptop, not only is the text slightly
jumbled, which may just be a display problem, but when you
click 'Next' for the last time, it goes straight to the
message "Please wait till Upgrade Advisor starts" and then
to "Before Setup continues, please restart your
computer". I does this every time, even after restarting.

I can't ask Microsoft for support without giving a serial
number and the Me number is a Dell OEM, and the problem is
with Upgrade Advisor, which doesn't have a serial number!!
