Is there an easy / innexpensive way to upgrade an access front end app to a
VB .NET application? I can buy a tool to do it, but its $300 and I need it
one time. Can't really justify it if there is an easier way.

Thanks,

I'm not sure that your $300 tool will even do the work. VBA and Access are
totally different than VB.NET. Even VB 6.0 does not "upgrade" properly to
VB.NET.

If the $300 tool actually works, Keith, and produces an app that works with
little manual modification required, it would be *extremely* good value for
money, in comparison to the amount of time and effort that it would take to
redevelop any non-trivial Access app as a .NET app. What I hear, though, is
that most if not all such tools produce output that requires extensive
manual modification.

I would reccomend rewriting stuff in PHP / mySql / Dreamweaver

MS doesn't give a crap about Developers, Developers, Developers
anymore

they sit there and invent shit like 'Kids Programming Language'
instead of taking VB / Access seriously
..NET is a complete market failure

VB6 apps work in Vista; VB 2002, 2003 does not
