Updating to XP

'updated to XP' is too ambiguous to tell us what, exactly, you did with
XP.. Whether you did an upgrade from, say, Windows 98 or Me or a clean
install of XP, Norton AV or System Worst should be disabled during
installation of any 'Updates' or installs of Windows.. More info is needed
as to what you did exactly..

If your version of Norton AntiVirus is older than "Norton AntiVirus 2002" it
is not compatible with Windows XP.

You will either need to purchase a newer version or make another choice for
antivirus protection.
