I don't know if this is the correct area... but I'm going
to try! Please let me know if I need to post this in
another area.

I have a group of documents which have been created based
off a template. Since they were created, I have changed
the template. Is there any way to update the documents
to include the current changes to the template?

Thanks in advance for all your help/suggestions!

Sure, open each individual document in Word. Select Tools | Templates and
Add-ins. Make sure the document template appears in the Document template
box; if not, click "Attach" and navigate to the template. Check
"Automatically Update Document Styles." Click OK. The document styles are
updated in the current document. Save the document. (Typically at this point
I will go back in and uncheck automatically update document styles, but this
is not required.)

If you have many documents to update, and are looking for a method to update
them all at once, please reply....Thanks..

Kim

It would be nice to be able to update them all at once if
you have that information! THANKS! so much for your help!

I have done this on a couple of the documents, however,
it doesn't seem to have updated. I have added a bookmark
and docvariable field (the docvar field was to a
table)... shouldn't these update as well??

Thanks again!

Another question on this... if I mark that box on the
template itself, will it automatically update documents
created after that point (if the template is changed
after that?)... Hope that makes sense!!

THANKS!!!
