updating re sp1 etc

Cant update office xp - in particular outlook? download
the sp1 from the site as it says it needs it but on
installing I get error msg 1328 - applying patch to file
config.msi\pt2b9.tmp cant be done as it has been updated
already??

You probably need an administrative install instead of the normal webupdate.
Anyway, why don't you upgrade to Servicepack 2 instead of one?
