updating a device driver

hi everyone! I need help. I need to update the device driver for windows
media player 11 so I can play audio files but I don't know how? Can someone
help? I tried to do it through my device manager but I don't know what to
look for there. Please help.

WMP11 is fully capable of playing almost all of the common audio file
formats.

What is the type of audio file that you are having problems with?
