I cannot successfully download any update my computer just freezes only just
installed XP Home edition so the updates which need to be download are the
first ones. Can anyone help me?

Best if you post your question to the experts in the windows update

To help them help you, you need to include more information, such as
type of computer, amount of ram, how you connect to the internt, the
name of the ISP, what error messages are received and listing them verbatim.
