It appears that you are the only two dealing with this
room. Please help. I KNOW YOU ARE BUSY, WHAT WITH ALL
THE ISSUES WE ALL HAVE, I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP
THERE. PLEASE ADVISE WHY THE SECURITY DOWN LOADS WILL
NOT INSTALL.

Do not use your Netscape browser to access the Windows Update web site.
Only use Internet Explorer when visiting the Windows Update web site.

First, perform a DISK CLEANUP:
(Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup)

Second, visit http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
while using your Internet Explorer browser.

Nick; am not using net to access updates, the downloads
load and msg is install complete, however when i exit and
then return. they are still there waiting to be
installed. The new one (okay it's in) and the patch
update will not go away. I have installed the fbatch.exe
from the HP site sucessfully. won't go away
