The new version shows a ton of new autostart locations in a nice
treeview, along with help text for each section. The right-click menu of
each item offers options to show the file or Registry key, or copy the
information to the clipboard.
A very special thanks to TonyKlein for his Collection of Autostart
Locations, and Andrew 'SilentRunners' Aronoff's list of launch points.

I think that 1.52 is still a good version if all you want is a simple
printout. I am using both 1.52 and 2.0. Both should be on the PL2006/2007
CD.

Before recommending this, I should have tried it first. The new version,
StartupList 2.0, hangs/freezes if you have a large hosts file. Only way out
is Ctrl-Alt-Del or kill it with TaskManager or ProcessExplorer.

To get around this problem until the author makes a fix for it, temporarily
disable your hosts file before starting StartupList 2.0. Other apps (e.g.,
Spy Sweeper) cannot handle large hosts files either. My hosts file is 2.66MB
and climbing.

The new version also freezes while generating a report. I have contacted
Merijn, the developer, about this freezing problem and the freezing on large
hosts files. Hopefully, he will soon have fixes for both issues.

:-/ I noticed this, too. Not very convenient.

2.66MEGAbytes?! Wow. I rely on the MVPS Hosts and it's only about 400KB
.. . .

I use HostsMan 2.1 to manage my hosts file. The update feature lets you
merge up to 4 different hosts files with your existing hosts file. It also
has an exclusion list and many security features, including an HTTP server
that displays a message in my browser if a site I'm visiting is blocked by
something in the hosts file. I like that feature the best. I can temporarily
disable my hosts file to view that site and then re-enable it when I'm done.
