I received an email from microsoft with a security update
466 attached. Is this a valid update? I have never
received an update via email from Microsoft before so
thought i would check before downloading it. thanks, wayne

Wayne;
This has been around a short while.
The attachment is most likely a virus.
Delete the Email and attachment immediately.

Microsoft sends security updates but NEVER with attachments.

On the rare occasion Microsoft sends a file, you would be expecting it
in advance and know exactly what it is.

Install an antivirus application.
Update your antivirus weekly.
Run it weekly.
Install or enable a firewall:

Wayne, delete this update. Unless you download updates
etc from a valid Microsoft website you should delete all
others. Microsoft do not send out updates in this way.
