update records form data in another table

I would like to assign service reps to a large table of 3000+ records. I have
a table that has a list of 5 to 15 service reps that has a field for active
or not. How can I build a query to sort may master table and auto assign
service reps to the accounts?

I currently run a query that sorts the data the way I need it then I enter
the service reps name in the [reps] field and copy and past them to till all
records have a service reps assigned to them. This is a pain.... I think
