for a toss. The text editor wraps up the data in the next line by default and
because of which I am not able to copy my data in this post.

I'm not sure:
-why you think Jan 1st is the 2nd record in the lotto table
-how you matched 2 values since the first Check record
matches 3 in the 1st Lotto record and 1 in the 2nd
Have you considered normalizing these tables? You whould then be able to use
joins in totals queries to count the common values.

I am sorry, that was a typo. 1st Jan is the first 1st record in the lotto
table. Again a typo for your next two questions.

Can this be done somehow?

I would not put any effort into making it work with the current table
structure. As suggested in another of your threads, you should consider
normalizing your table structures.
