on what is new in this latest version (in other words: I would like to
know what the benefits are if I upgrade).

Oh, I _see_ what you mean :)

I can't locate any detailed information on the updates, either. At
least, not in English (my French skills are very poor).

And my French skills are even non existing...

Author migt forgot to add update information, or to busy/to much work:
he sometimes says what has changed, and sometimes not:

So I just wait with updating, or maybe try it an other day, if I feel
like it, but I prefer information to have information on updates,
