You don't have to provide free internet access to everyone that wanders
into your wireless zone. myWIFIzone is a fantastic new software
application that blocks them - for free! myWIFIzone lets you decide who
gets blocked and who doesn't with a click of the mouse. So you can give
"Uncle Bill" in Apartment 301 free access, while blocking "Freddy
Freeloader" who lives on the second floor. You don't need to wade
through tedious router logs or set up complicated firewalls. myWIFIzone
gives you real-time alerts, event logging and intruder blocking right
from your PC or Laptop.

Well, it seemed to work fine. This morning when I checked my computer,
I found that it hadn't shut down last night when I thought I had done
so. (I had clicked Start/Shutdown and headed for bed.) There was a
problem ternating the MyWiFiZone application/task and it was waiting
for a response from me. After rebooting I uninstalled the application,
and couldn't connect to the internet. Restored previous day's good
registry, no joy. Ran WinSockFix; no joy. Recycled the modem and
router--success.

Not sure that's a fair assessment of the application, but I sure won't
be installing it on any of my clients' machines, nor my own.

thanks for the warning :-)

it always helps to be cautious.
When I go to "download.com" or other places, I much prefer to read the
negative reviews than the glow-reports. It gives me a clearer picture,
whether it's the right software for me or not.

Thanks for the feedback guys. We have a known problem with loading the
driver on some XP SP2 installs - working on that one. The shut down
confirmation message will be surpressed in Version 3 which is due for
release end of October.
