Update Movie Maker?

My friend seems to be using an out-dated version of MM2...where can he
download an update?


Also, his MM2 freezes whenever he tries to drag something onto
timeline...does this sound like a codec problem?

the latest version 2.1 is included in Service Pack 2 for Windows XP....

the Setup Movie Maker > MM2.1 has a link to a Microsoft site with info...
and the Problem Solving > Crashes and Hangs page is for the other item.

My friend already has SP2 though...and when he went to Microsfot Update he
didn't seem to get WMM2.1...
