A previous update hung, so was aborted.
Now, WIN XP Pro does not do download (apparently finds
previous file), and hangs when I click "install now" .

How can I get WIN XP Pro to do a fresh download and
install as tho previous didn't happen?
Where are the WIN update files stored so I can possible
delete it?

Thanks

You could try clearing your temporary internet files.

Also check the C:\WUtemp to see if the Update files exist as being downloaded.
What happens is that a folder is created for the update and inside the folder is
the actual installation file. Once the install is successful the WUtemp folder
will be empty.

When attempting to access Windows Update, the page that directs you to update
your Windows Update software appears. Clicking "Update Now" results in the
same page being displayed, making it impossible to perform the update. Win2000 &
