update error

Dear all,

My computer is Dell Dimension 2400. When I update Windows XP by automatic
cfg, it shows the updates cannot be installed. The error reported in window
update.log is "0x8007F0DA". I tried to delete the
C:/windows/system32/catroot2 folder. It doesn't work. Help is needed.

Don't delete the catroot2 folder, just rename it.

I rename it to root or other names.
But it still doesn't work. Any other ways to work it out?

Suggest you take it to the Windows Update group here:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsupdate

Let them know the error code and what you have already tried.
