CALLING ALL MVP'ers and anyone who can help! I've had this problem for two
months now. HOW DO I RECEIVE MY WINDOW UPDATES? Everytime I attempt, this
is the error number I receive.

Apparently, there are a lot of XP Users having the same or similar issue.
Please, what's the fix for us non-ITers?

Go to Start > Run and type in:

regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll

and hit the ENTER key. If this does not solve the issue:

Go to Start > Run and type in this lines:
[Note: Hit ENTER key after each one]

net stop wuauserv

regsvr32.exe wuapi.dll

regsvr32.exe wups.dll

regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll

regsvr32.exe wucltui.dll

regsvr32.exe MSXML3.dll

regsvr32.exe qmgr.dll

regsvr32.exe qmgrprxy.dll

net start wuauserv

Reboot Windows XP and visit the Windows Update web site.

goto Start>Run>Services.msc

start it if tis stopped, and then right click it and click Properties>and
set its startup type to Automatic
restart and now check if any progress ??]]
