it needs to associate .lst files with itself, a substantial proportion
of win users cant do it themselves, and for the rest of us life should
be easier.

Good point. Usually this is done with an installer, but the program was
always intended to be run directly. Noted for the next version.
Ideally, that will be sooner than the 3-year gap between v1.2 and v1.3.

Best way I've seen it done is to have a button somewhere, press to
associate. Then no installer needed.

Nice piece of software btw.
