Do you need just a few bar codes or will the data being encoded in the
bar code change often?
If you are using the same bar code every time or using just a few
different bar codes, then probably the easiest thing to do would be to
get a graphic images of the bar codes using the following web site:
www.freebarcodes.com
The above web site allows you to generate high resolution graphic
images of bar codes that you can then download as graphic files that
you could then insert into your Excel spreadsheet.
If you need alot of different bar codes then you would be better off
using a bar code ActiveX control. The TAL Bar Code ActiveX control
(which is used in the above web site) is the best one on the market.
You can download a demo version of it from the following URL:
http://www.taltech.com/TALtech_web/products/activex_barcodes.html
The demo includes a sample Excel spreadsheet that demonstrates how to
use it in Excel.
