Upate and Product ID/key

I am trying to run windows update which I have done
previously, but am getting a message that the Product ID
is no good....It had been OK so how do I repair this
problem since the ID is different than the Product Key
and MS documentation stinks as usual whenever I have a
problem..This is occuring on an IBM T30 laptop.

You'll need to purchase a "full retail version" of Windows XP
Professional and use the new Windows XP CD and Product Key to
perform a "repair install".
