Win XP Home, clean install, partitioned hard drive. I backup to an external
firewall drive.
Problem
XP set up all of the files on my D:\ drive as ready to be written to CD .
This shows up on my CD drive and as an Icon in the tray. I have removed both
Nero and Roxio with the problem remaining. If I delete the so called
temporary files on the CD drive it in fact deletes them from the hard drive.
These are mostly photo and music files and I do have them safely backed up.
I would like to disable if possible, the CD writing function of XP . I have
two other programs to write to CD
firewall drive.
