Unwanted toolbar

Chris

Some spyware program installed a search toolbar on IE.
It shows up everytime I start IE, even if I disabled it
from View > Toolbars. The unfortunate thing is that the
toolbar has no name (the area I click to disable it is
blank) though I suspect it was originally installed from
MySearch. How can I get rid of this thing once and for
all? I have gotten MySearch off my computer (registries
and all... using SpyBot) but can't find the registry
entry or file that points to this toolbar.

I have disabled the third-party option so I don't have to
see it anymore, but occasionally I actually want to have
a thrid-party toolbar there and can't. Any ideas?

Chris,

Check the key in registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions

Click each GUID entry & see the related application in the right-pane

The above path holds the Toolbar settings
