Several users are working on a document I created using styles I created.
When I get the file back, several styles are being added. The users are not
creating the new styles. How does this happen and how can we prevent it?
I am using Word 2003 some users are using 2000 and 2002.

Thanks for any help you can give.

If you're referring to things like "Normal+Bold", they aren't really
styles. Turn off the "Keep track of formatting" option and they'll go
away.

See
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/sfpane/StylesAndFormattingPane.html#WordDoesNotCreateNewStyles
for more info.

Are these styles or just formatting? If you don't have "Keep track of
formatting" checked on the Edit tab of Tools | Options, you won't see the
latter.
