unwanted selections on data entry

Access 2003. Occaisionally users find that when editing a memo field on a
data entry form whole sections of the text are selected and they are unable
to do any editing. They often end up losing data which is a bit frustrating.

i have no idea how or why this happens so any suggestions would be a big help.

Make sure in your options that the following is selected:

Tools >>> Options >>> Keyboard >>> Behavior entering field >>> Go to end of
field

If Arvin's suggestion does not help, you might tell your user's to try
pressing the escape key a couple of times.

It might be that they have accidentally enabled one of the functions to help
the physically challenged that emulates holding down the Shift key while
selecting text.
