Unwanted Pop-up

A pop-up has begun to appear every time we log on to the
internet. It is pesistently annoying and may take a dozen
denials before it disappears for a while. It is msbb.exe
and is located in a folder named nCase. It is trying to
transmit over my internet link. From its name I would
guess that it is a Microsoft product but I have no
definitive evidence of that. It has already interrupted me
five times as I am making this entry. Can anyone identify
this program and its purpose. I do not intend to allow it
access unless I know what its function is and how it
benefits me. Most important, can anyone tell me how to get
rid of it?

You have spyware running on your computer!

Visit http://spybot.eon.net.au/index.php?lang=en&page=start
and download the Spybot utility program and then run it.

Then install the free Google Toolbar. It does a good job of blocking
pop-ups!

Greetings --

n-Case is a form of spyware. Two products that are quite
effective at finding and removing such scumware are Ad-Aware from
www.lavasoft.de and SpyBot Search and Destroy from
http://security.kolla.de/. Both have free evaluation versions.

Additionally, Symantec provides removal instructions:
