Unwanted baloon?

Im a rookie and can not figure out how to get rid of a baloon that says
critical system errors but when i click on it it takes me to virusburst.com
and wants me to d/l their stuff. We had virus protector and anti-spywear
installed when we got the comp 5 days ago. Any ideas?

Virusburst is malware. Go here to get rid of it:

Hi tigerhamilton,
Don't go there again or listen to their advice or give your credit card
details to them.
Download the HijackThis and Run it on your computer and send the report to
the Aumha forum for analysis:
http://www.aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip

also download the spbot S&D and do a scan for other malwares:
http://www.safer-networking.org

I got infected by that yesterday, immediately searched and followed the
instructions on the website below and removed it :
