Until DSL is in effect how can I get a dial up number?

My DSL connection won't be in effect until mid-February (Verizon), in the
meantime, how can I get on line? They are requesting my ISP, but I don't
have one due to XP wiping everything out. I opted out of AOL due to my
wanting to use gmail, not sure how to get connected in the meantime.
And...thank you to all who have helped me out here today, I appreciate it.

Call Verizon and ask if they offer dialup service. Also ask if your account
is actually activated, so when you use their dialup service, you'll actually
be able to log in.

Finally, find out if your DSL service will include email. Then, you won't
need to deal with gmail.

Your ISP is the company you pay a monthly fee to to let you use the
internet. Whether you have one has nothing to do with XP wiping everything
out, or even whether you have XDP installed.

If you don't have an ISP, you can't get connected. Contact an ISP that
provides dialup service, pay them their fee and they will tell you how to
get connected.
