On my work's network I have two XP computers.
In one computer My Network Places shows all the network
shares as
shared network folders; I can click on them and browse
the contents.
On the other computer, all the shares in My Network
Places show up
under Unspecified with the unknown icon I can't do
anything with them.
How can i get the second computer to work properly like
the first one?
Our network runs a Novell server.
any help would be greatly appreciated, as it is extremely
frustrating
not to be able to access the network shares from where
they are
supposed to be accessed. I can get to the shares
eventually because i
know how to click around to get access via a roundabout
way; but most
of my network users wouldn't know how to do this. And
they shouldn't
have to.
