Unsollicited reduction unused disk volume

Using Windows XP SP2, the unused disk space on my C Drive is gradually
reduced during operation, even without using IE or Outlook Express. The
machine is however permanently connected to internet via ADSL. No downloads
involved.

The computer is virus and spyware free at the moment, according to programs
like EZ AntiVirus, AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Yet it seemed like
there was a parasite program running and causing the page file to run away
but I could not detect anything abnormal.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

It might be the Virtual Memory file increasing. Do you get it back? Have you
searched for New files by date?

YES, I HAD LOOKED BUT COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. HAVE MEANTIME
TRANSFERRED MY VIRTUAL MEMORY FROM C-DRIVE TO E-DRIVE. THIS DOES NOT HELP
EITHER. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS.
